Harrison Chapman

Harrison has recently returned from the 40th JKF Goju Kai All Japan Championships, in Sendai, Japan.

Harrison went over with the GB team that consisted of 12 competitors. He was in the 16-18s Kumite Male Open and went on to qualify for the finals – him and 7 Japanese fighters made it through.

Although he lost to the eventual silver medal winner, the initial disappointment was soon over when he was told he was the first western junior to have ever made it so far!

GB had 3 members of the team reach their finals (male open, female open and Harrison in the Junior open), again the first time that anyone from GB had reached the senior finals too. Unfortunately, they too reached the final 8.
